Regular Season Round 27: Pioneros - Marinos 74-73

The most exciting game of round 27 in the SPB took place in Caracas. This derby game ended with only one-point defeat on the road of 6th rankedMarinos (8-9) to seventh ranked Pioneros (9-8) 74-73 on Thursday evening. The best player for the winners was the former international point guard Heissler Guillent (186-1986) who scored 15 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists. American forward Jarell Eddie (201-1991, college: Virginia Tech) chipped in 19 points. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Tobin Carberry (192-1991, college: LIU Post) who recorded 20 points and international point guard Gregory Vargas (181-1986) added 12 points and 6 rebounds respectively. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Pioneros have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to sixth place. Marinos lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the eighth position with nine games lost.
