Regular Season Round 33: Spartans - Pioneros 88-91

The most exciting game of round 33 in the SPB took place in Caracas. This derby game ended with only three-point home defeat of 3rd placedSpartans (15-7) to seventh ranked Pioneros (11-10) 91-88 on Monday evening. The best player for the winners was the former international point guard Heissler Guillent (186-1986) who had a double-double by scoring 19 points and 12 assists. American forward Jarell Eddie (201-1991, college: Virginia Tech) chipped in 20 points and 6 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was Dominican point guard Richard Bautista (185-1997) who recorded 20 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists and Dominican guard Juan Suero (196-1993) added 19 points and 10 rebounds respectively. Four Spartans players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Pioneros have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain seventh place with 11-10 record. Spartans at the other side keep the third position with seven games lost.
