Penarol are the LigaA champions. They dethroned Regatas Corrientes in the sixth game of the championship series. The victory marked the fifth triumph for Penarol in the last six editions of LigaA championship. Facundo Campazzo (179-PG-91) nailed 31 points to pace the winners. Penarol dropped 24 points in the first frame to gain a 5-point lead. The second term determined the advantage for the hosts. Penarol went on a 20:10 run to open a 44:29 halftime lead. The Mar del Plata team limited Regatas to just 14 points in the third frame and secured a comfortable 18-point lead before the fourth frame. Regatas dropped 30 points in the final quarter but could not avoid the defeat. Adrian Boccia (195-G/F-82) produced 16 points, while Forrest Fisher (193-G-80) had 10 points in the win. Paolo Quinteros (188-SG-79) answered with 24 points for Regatas. Nicolas Romano (200-F-87) netted 13 points in the loss.
Penarol Mar del Plata won super 8 title for the fourth time in its history. In the final game they beat Quimsa 82-76. They dominated the whole game. They arrived to the final game after winning to Libertad in the quarterfinals and Regatas Corrientes in the semifinals with authority.
