The Regular Season in La Liga Argentina just ended. The round was exceptionally exciting as three games ended with a tiny margin. Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

Top ranked GELP (9-7) recorded its seventh loss in La Plata on Sunday night. Hosts were edged by third ranked Ciclista (7-9) 76-73. 24 personal fouls committed by GELP helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Swingman Manuel Lambrisca (192-97) fired 21 points and 5 assists for the winners. Power forward Gianfranco Sinconi (204-94) chipped in 12 points and 9 rebounds. Ciclista's coach Daniel Jaule used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Yago Sanchez (195-99) produced 19 points and 8 rebounds for lost side. Ciclista maintains third place with 7-9 record having just two points less than leader Independ.O., which they share with Del Progreso. GELP at the other side still keeps top position with seven games lost. They share it with 3 other teams.
Another exciting game was played in Mar del Plata between third ranked Del Progreso and 4th placed Quilmes MP where Del Progreso (7-9) beat Quilmes MP (6-10) on the road 88-74. Worth to mention a great performance of Ezequiel Dupuy (185-97, agency: BIG) who helped to win the game recording 22 points, 6 assists and 4 steals. Gustavo Maranguello contributed with 13 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Forward Alex Negrete (192-1) answered with 24 points and 7 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) for Quilmes MP. Quilmes MP's coach Manuel Gelpi rotated ten players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Del Progreso maintains third place with 7-9 record having just two points less than leader Independ.O., which they share with Ciclista. Quilmes MP lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the fourth position with ten games lost.
Third-ranked Ameghino (8-7) made lots of trouble for first ranked Independ.O. (13-2) in Olivia on Friday. Independ.O. managed to secure only two-point victory 71-69. However their fans expected easier game. It was a great evening for Fernando Martina who led his team to a victory scoring 18 points and 7 rebounds. At the losing side Juan Luis Abeiro responded with 23 points and 7 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Newly promoted Independ.O. maintains first place with 13-2 record. Loser Ameghino keeps the third position with seven games lost.

Other games of round 19 were quite predictable and ended without any surprises. Here they are:
Pergamino was defeated by Lanus in Buenos Aires 77-63. Salta Basket smashed Rivadavia at home 95-67. Jachal was destroyed by Estudiantes T. on the opponent's court 79-59. Zarate Basket managed to outperform Racing in a home game 95-79. Dep Viedma recorded a loss to Estudiantes O. on the road 90-84. Independiente was defeated by Villa S.Martin on its own court 75-77. Dep Norte was smashed by Barrio Parque in Cordoba 89-65. Salta Basket won against Jachal at home 92-74. Rivadavia unfortunately lost to Estudiantes T. on the opponent's court 71-75. Echague recorded a loss to San Isidro in a home game 76-83. Ciclista was defeated by Lanus on the road 82-71. GELP smashed Pergamino on its own court 82-61. Bahia won against Rocamora in Bahia Blanca 76-69. CAO Ceres managed to outperform Villa S.Martin at home 82-80. Zarate Basket recorded a loss to Racing on the opponent's court 94-87. Quilmes MP was crushed by Dep Viedma in a home game 76-98. Del Progreso was beaten by Estudiantes O. on the road 79-68. Estudiantes C. won against Villa Mitre on its own court 75-65. Bahia managed to outperform Parque Sur in Bahia Blanca 74-68.
The best stats of 19th round was 30 points and 8 rebounds by Michael Henry of Villa S.Martin.



Lanus - Pergamino 77-63

The game between closely ranked teams ended with 4th placed Pergamino's (2-14) road loss to third ranked Lanus (9-7) 63-77 on Sunday. It was a great evening for point guard Pablo Bruna (185-87) who led his team to a victory scoring 9 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists. Naturalized Italian Juan Kelly (189-88) helped adding 13 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. At the losing side American forward Khalil Fuller (207-95, college: CSUSM) responded with 17 points and swingman Leonardo Tortonesi (193-92) scored 17 points. Pergamino's coach Julian Pagura tested ten players and allowed the starting five to rest. Lanus keeps a position of league leader, which they share with 3 other teams. Pergamino lost ninth consecutive game. Pergamino at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the fourth place with 14 games lost.

Another exciting game was played in Mar del Plata between third ranked Del Progreso and 4th placed Quilmes MP where Del Progreso (7-9) beat Quilmes MP (6-10) on the road 88-74. Del Progreso shot the lights out from three nailing 12 long-distance shots on high 52.2 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists.
