Top ranked Estudiantes O. (15-6) recorded its sixth loss in Chivilcoy on Friday night. Visitors were defeated by seventh ranked Racing (12-9) 83-71. We should mention about the upset which took place in San Miguel de Tucuman, where 9th ranked Libertad (9-10) lost to twelfth ranked Estudiantes T. (6-14) in a road game 83-89 on Saturday. Worth to mention a great performance of Roberto Orresta who helped to win the game recording 21 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Juan Wall responded with 12 points and 8 rebounds. Newly promoted Estudiantes T. maintains twelfth position with 6-14 record. Libertad lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the ninth place with ten games lost. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists comparing to just 4 passes made by Jachal's players. Worth to mention a great performance of Luciano Tambucci (194-1998) who helped to win the game recording 17 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and power forward Everton Gomez who added 11 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. Power forward Manuel Navarro (193-1995) responded with 26 points and 7 rebounds and Cuban power forward Marlon Diaz (200-1998) scored 7 points and 13 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Independiente maintains tenth position with 9-11 record. Jachal lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the fourteenth place with 19 games lost. They share the position with Echague.
