Top ranked Independ.O. (23-5) recorded its fifth loss in San Francisco on Friday night. Visitors were rolled over by second ranked San Isidro (22-5) 103-67. It may be a crucial game in the contest for the top position in the league. San Isidro outrebounded Independ.O. 49-27 including a 38-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. The best player for the winners was Federico Zezular (198-2001) who had a double-double by scoring 20 points and 11 rebounds. Power forward Juan Cruz Oberto (200-1997) chipped in 14 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists. San Isidro's coach Daniel Beltramo felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was Nicolas Marcucci who recorded 15 points. San Isidro have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They maintain second place with 22-5 record having just three point less than leader Independ.O. Newly promoted Independ.O. still keeps top position with five games lost.
Very important is a road loss of third ranked Racing (17-11) against fifteenth ranked Parque Sur (7-21) on Friday night. Visiting Racing was defeated by Parque Sur in a tough game in Concepcion de Urug. 95-101. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Racing. It was a good game for swingman Elnes Bolling (193-1991) who led his team to a victory with 26 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists. Jeremias Ledesma contributed with 25 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Joaquin Gamazo (198-1991) answered with 25 points and 9 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) for Racing. Racing's coach Diego Dambrosio rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Parque Sur maintains fifteenth place with 7-21 record. Racing at the other side keeps the third position with 11 games lost. They share it with Zarate Basket.
The game in La Plata was also quite interesting. 6th ranked Estudiantes C. (15-12) played at the court of eighth ranked GELP (15-13). GELP defeated Estudiantes C. 89-78 on Friday. Lanus - Estudiantes O. 74-86

There was no surprise in Buenos Aires where 11th ranked Lanus (12-16) was defeated by second ranked Estudiantes O. (19-9) 86-74 on Friday. Center Cristian Scaramuzzino (205-1992) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 11 rebounds for the winners and point guard Martin Cabrera (179-1996) chipped in 20 points and 7 assists. The best for the losing side was Canadian forward Cassidy Ryan (201-1995, college: Brock) with 17 points and 6 rebounds and naturalized Italian Juan Kelly (189-1988) scored 13 points and 7 rebounds. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. The victory was the third consecutive win for Estudiantes O.. They maintain second place with 19-9 record having just one point less than leader Independ.O., which they share with CAO Ceres. Newly promoted Lanus keeps the eleventh position with 16 games lost.
