Round 6 means everything may happen in La Liga Argentina as the season just started. Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

H.Americano can celebrate finally their first win this season after three consecutive losses. The victory is especially important as they defeated much higher ranked Rocamora (1-2) on the road game in Rocamora 75-71 on Saturday. The best player for the winners was American forward Damani Applewhite (203-1998, college: SC State) who scored 15 points and 8 rebounds. point guard Federico De Miguel (176-1997) chipped in 15 points. At the other side the best for losing team was Galo Impini (194-1997) who recorded 13 points and 9 rebounds. H.Americano (1-3) left bottom position moving up to thirteenth place, which they share with 4 other teams. Rocamora at the other side dropped to the eleventh position with two games lost. They share it with 3 other teams. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
Bottom-ranked Sarmiento R. (0-4) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 76-69 loss to eighth ranked Montmartre (3-2). It was a good game for American forward Richard Granberry (203-1993, college: Virginia St.) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 12 rebounds. Martin Gomez contributed with 12 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Montmartre's coach Gabriel Albornoz allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American forward Marquel Wiggins (201-1998, college: Dalton St.) replied with 22 points for Sarmiento R.Montmartre moved-up to third place, which they share with 4 other teams. Sarmiento R. at the other side, also newcomer in the league, still closes the standings with four games lost. They share the position with CAO Ceres. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
Bottom-ranked Pico FC (0-3) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 101-86 loss to top-ranked Del Progreso (2-0) in General Roca on Friday evening. Facundo Sanz scored 24 points and 7 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners. Del Progreso's coach used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was Jarret Branch with a double-double by scoring 29 points and 13 rebounds. Despite that victory Del Progreso went down to sixth position due to points difference. Newly promoted Pico FC still closes the standings with three games lost. They share the position with Villa S.Martin and Jachal. Del Progreso will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Pico FC will play against Dep Viedma (#14) in Rio Negro and hopes to get finally their first victory.

Rest of the games of round 6 were quite predictable and ended without any surprises. Here they are:
San Isidro crushed Rivadavia in San Francisco 99-80. Libertad beat Dep Norte at home 72-58. GELP was destroyed by La Union on the opponent's court 93-70. Pergamino managed to outperform Pilar in a home game 86-80. Ciclista managed to beat Villa Mitre on the road 96-85.
The best stats of 6th round was 23 points by Julian Eydallin of Libertad.



Group North
Rivadavia - San Isidro 80-99

There was no surprise when 9th ranked Rivadavia (3-2) was crushed at home by sixth ranked San Isidro (3-1) 99-80 on Saturday. San Isidro dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Rivadavia's 40. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Federico Zezular (198-2001) scored 20 points and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and power forward Juan Cruz Oberto (200-1997) chipped in 17 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. San Isidro's coach Daniel Beltramo used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was center Abel Trejo (204-1990) with 15 points and 7 rebounds and point guard Stefano Arancibia (176-1997) scored 15 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. San Isidro have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Colon SF. Loser Rivadavia dropped to the third position with two games lost. They share it with 4 other teams. San Isidro will meet Jachal (#14) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Rivadavia will have a break next round.

No shocking result in a game in Sunchales where third ranked Libertad (2-2) defeated 11th ranked Dep Norte (1-2) 72-58 on Friday. The former international swingman Julian Eydallin (195-2000) scored 23 points to lead the charge for the winners and Enzo Rupcic (201-1997) chipped in 16 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. Libertad's coach Sebastian Porta used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was guard Franco Montemagio (185-2002) with 17 points and 4 assists and swingman Juan Pablo Lugrin (196-1996) scored 5 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists. Despite that victory Libertad went down to seventh position due to points difference, which they share with Ciclista. Loser Dep Norte keeps the eleventh place with two games lost. Very expected game in Colon where 7th ranked GELP (3-2) was rolled over by third ranked La Union (3-2) 93-70 on Saturday. La Union shot the lights out from three sinking 14 long-distance shots on high 56.0 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Forward Cesar Lavoratornuovo (189-1991) scored 20 points and 7 assists to lead the charge for the winners and forward Emilio Gimenez (196-1995) chipped in 20 points during the contest. Four La Union players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was center Franco Barroso (207-1994) with 9 points and 9 rebounds and Yago Sanchez (195-1999) scored 13 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Newly promoted La Union maintains third position with 3-2 record behind leader Barrio Parque, which they share with 4 other teams including defeated GELP.
