Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Gimnasia as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Gimnasia smashed 20th ranked Atenas in Comodoro Rivadavia 121-89. Gimnasia shot 62.0 percent from the field and made 19-of-23 free shots (82.6 percent) during the game. They shot the lights out from three sinking 14 long-distance shots on high 53.8 percentage. Gimnasia looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Atenas' players. It was a great evening for Cuban forward Joaquin Mensia (198-1997, agency: Pro Sports) who led his team to a victory scoring 46 points (!!!) and 6 rebounds (perfect behind the arc making all five shots). The former international Agustin Barreiro (205-1999) helped adding 16 points and 10 rebounds. At the losing side American guard Javion Blake (190-1997, college: Washburn, agency: Haylett Sports) responded with 19 points and 5 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Gimnasia have a solid series of four victories in a row. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. Atenas lost fourteenth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom place with 15 games lost. Atenas will have a break next week, which should allow them to rest in order to get back on the winning path. Gimnasia will try to continue on its current victory against fifth ranked Olimpico in La Banda.
Important game to mention about took place in Mercedes. Nineteenth ranked Comunicaciones (4-14) saved a 2-point victory at home edging 18th ranked Union SF (4-14) 89-87 in the fight for the eighteenth place. It was an exceptional evening for American guard Skyler Hogan (196-1997, college: SEMO, agency: Pro Sports) who led the winners and scored 22 points and 8 rebounds. Will Vorhees accounted for 15 points and 8 rebounds. American guard John Merchant (187-1989, college: Dowling) came up with 21 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists for Union SF in the defeat. Union SF's coach Juan Francisco Ponce rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Comunicaciones moved-up to eighteenth place, which they share with defeated Union SF. Union SF lost third consecutive game. Comunicaciones will play against higher ranked Riachuelo LR (#16) in La Rioja in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Union SF will play at home against La Union and hopes to get back on the winning track.
17th ranked San Lorenzo (4-13) was outscored at home by sixth ranked Quimsa (11-5) with the biggest margin this round 105-71 on Wednesday night. Rodrigo Sanchez fired 17 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Sebastian Lugo produced 10 points and 5 rebounds for lost side. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Quimsa have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain sixth place with 11-5 record. San Lorenzo lost eighth consecutive game. They keep the seventeenth position with 13 games lost. Quimsa will meet Boca (#12) in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. San Lorenzo will have a break next round.
