It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Racing. They outrebounded Racing 43-28 including a 33-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a good game for point guard Andres Lugli (188-1995) who led his team to a victory with 8 points, 11 rebounds and 8 assists. Joaquin Rios (193-1995) contributed with 9 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Forward Norberto Stucky (198-1994) answered with 12 points and 5 rebounds for Racing. Despite that victory Lanus went down to third position due to points difference. Racing at the other side still keeps top place with 11 games lost. The best for the losing side was naturalized Spanish swingman Maximiliano Martin (190-1990) with a double-double by scoring 11 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists. The victory was the eighth consecutive win for San Isidro. They moved-up to sixth place. Villa S.Martin lost their fourth game in a row. They dropped to the fifth position with eight games lost. San Isidro will play against higher ranked GEPU (#3) in San Luis in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Villa S.Martin will play on the road against Dep Norte in Armstrong and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
Worth to mention about the upset in a game between Pilar (11-8) and Ciclista (8-11), which took place in Junin. Higher ranked Pilar lost to thirteenth ranked Ciclista in a road game 81-85 on Friday. There were no big surprises in other games of round 27: Quilmes MP was beaten by Villa Mitre on the road 88-79. Dep Viedma won against U.Mar del Plata on its own court 89-72. Barrio Parque unfortunately lost to Atenas in Cordoba 82-90. Pergamino recorded a loss to Racing A. at home 79-90. Rivadavia was defeated by Amancay on the opponent's court 71-60. Jachal was beaten by GEPU in a home game 63-80.
