Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of top-ranked Racing (15-11) in Chivilcoy on Friday night. Hosts were defeated by second ranked Lanus (13-6) 73-60. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Racing. They outrebounded Racing 43-28 including a 33-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a good game for point guard Andres Lugli (188-1995) who led his team to a victory with 8 points, 11 rebounds and 8 assists. Joaquin Rios (193-1995) contributed with 9 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Forward Norberto Stucky (198-1994) answered with 12 points and 5 rebounds for Racing. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Lanus have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. Despite that victory Lanus went down to third position due to points difference. Racing at the other side still keeps top place with 11 games lost. Lanus are looking forward to face Ciclista (#11) in Junin in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Racing will play at home against Pergamino (#15) and is hoping to win this game.
Another interesting game for San Isidro (9-5) which hosted in San Francisco against 4th placed Villa S.Martin (10-8). Eighth ranked San Isidro had an easy win 83-72. It was a great evening for power forward Gian Sinconi (204-1994) who led his team to a victory scoring 12 points and 9 rebounds. Christopher Hooper helped adding 15 points and 5 assists. San Isidro's coach Daniel Beltramo allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. The best for the losing side was naturalized Spanish swingman Maximiliano Martin (190-1990) with a double-double by scoring 11 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists. The victory was the eighth consecutive win for San Isidro. They moved-up to sixth place. Villa S.Martin lost their fourth game in a row. They dropped to the fifth position with eight games lost. San Isidro will play against higher ranked GEPU (#3) in San Luis in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Villa S.Martin will play on the road against Dep Norte in Armstrong and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
Worth to mention about the upset in a game between Pilar (11-8) and Ciclista (8-11), which took place in Junin. Higher ranked Pilar lost to thirteenth ranked Ciclista in a road game 81-85 on Friday. It was an exceptional evening for Aaron Pablo who led the winners and scored 35 points (!!!) and 6 rebounds. Dishon Lowery came up with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 13 rebounds for Pilar in the defeat. The victory was the third consecutive win for Ciclista. They moved-up to eleventh place. Pilar lost their third game in a row. They keep the sixth position with eight games lost. Ciclista will meet at home higher ranked Lanus (#3) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Pilar will play against Villa Mitre and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

There were no big surprises in other games of round 27: Quilmes MP was beaten by Villa Mitre on the road 88-79. Dep Viedma won against U.Mar del Plata on its own court 89-72. Barrio Parque unfortunately lost to Atenas in Cordoba 82-90. Pergamino recorded a loss to Racing A. at home 79-90. Rivadavia was defeated by Amancay on the opponent's court 71-60. Jachal was beaten by GEPU in a home game 63-80.
The most impressive performance of 27th round was 17 points and 8 rebounds by Pablo Crausaz of Jachal.



Villa Mitre - Quilmes MP 88-79

No shocking result in a game when sixth ranked Villa Mitre (11-7) beat 14th ranked Quilmes MP (6-12) in Bahia Blanca 88-79 on Thursday. Villa Mitre outrebounded Quilmes MP 48-31 including 36 on the defensive glass. It was an exceptional evening for power forward Franco Pennacchiotti (205-1990) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 25 points, 19 rebounds and 4 assists. Federico Harina (186-1991) accounted for 22 points and 5 assists for the winning side. Four Villa Mitre players scored in double figures. Villa Mitre's coach Gaston Fernandez used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. The former international point guard Luis Cequeira (179-1985) came up with 21 points and forward Emilio Gimenez (196-1995) added 15 points and 4 assists respectively for Quilmes MP in the defeat.
