Important game to mention about took place in Olivia. Ninth ranked Independ.O. (5-3) saved a 3-point victory at home edging 8th ranked Ferro (4-3) 70-67 on Wednesday evening. Worth to mention a great performance of Ecuadorian forward Carlos Hurtado (212-2006) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 14 points and 19 rebounds and Jorge Diaz who added 13 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. Independ.O.'s coach allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. The best for the losing side was with 28 points and 7 rebounds. Independ.O. moved-up to seventh place. Ferro at the other side dropped to the ninth position with three games lost. Independ.O. will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Ferro will play on the road against Atenas (#17) in Cordoba and hopes to get back on the winning track.

Quimsa moved-up to thirteenth place. Loser Union dropped to the eleventh position with five games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.

There were no big surprises in other games of round 12: Platense beat Racing Ch. on the road 76-70. Obras destroyed San Martin on its own court 93-66. Regatas outscored Boca Jrs. in Corrientes 76-57. Argentino recorded a loss to Platense at home 74-88. San Martin defeated Penarol on the opponent's court 78-63.
The most impressive performance of 12th round was 28 points and 7 rebounds by Camilo Rodriguez of Ferro.




Racing Ch. - Platense 70-76

No shocking result in a game when seventh ranked Platense (5-2) beat 9th ranked Racing Ch. (4-4) in Chivilcoy 76-70 on Sunday. Platense forced 24 Racing Ch. turnovers. The winners were led by forward Santino Mazzucchelli (196-2004) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!) and 10 rebounds and Joaquin Goncalves supported him with 15 points and 8 rebounds. Four Platense players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 18 points and 10 rebounds by Ecuadorian forward Carlos Hurtado (212-2006) did not help to save the game for Racing Ch.. Tomas Delia added 13 points and 6 rebounds. Racing Ch.'s coach let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Platense have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to sixth place. Loser Racing Ch. dropped to the tenth position with four games lost. Platense will meet at home Penarol (#12) in the next round where they are favorite. Racing Ch. will play against Gimnasia and hope to secure a win.
