We should mention about the upset which took place in La Banda, where higher ranked Boca Juniors (7-6) lost to eighteenth ranked Olimpico (4-7) in a road game 71-83 on Wednesday. Olimpico dominated down low during the game scoring 44 of its points in the paint compared to Boca Juniors' 22. The best player for the winners was who scored 21 points and 6 assists. American forward Richard Granberry (203-1993, college: Virginia St.) chipped in 18 points and 10 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was the former international Sebastian Vega (200-1988) who recorded 22 points and 7 rebounds. Olimpico moved-up to fifteenth place. Boca Juniors lost third consecutive game. Defending champion dropped to the fifth position with six games lost. They share it with Instituto. Olimpico will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Boca Juniors will play on the road against Quimsa (#12) in Santiado del Estero and is hoping to win this game.
An interesting game took place in Florida, where higher ranked Obera (6-4) lost to sixteenth ranked Platense (4-4) in a road game 78-82. It was a good game for Franco Smaniotti (194-2000) who led his team to a victory with 24 points and 6 rebounds. Eric Flor contributed with 17 points and 7 assists for the winners. Platense's coach Martin Yanguela allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. American forward Will Vorhees (203-1995, college: NDC) answered with 17 points and 9 rebounds for Obera. Platense moved-up to thirteenth place. Obera at the other side dropped to the eighth position with four games lost. They share it with Regatas. Platense will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Obera will play on the road against Penarol (#4) where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.

Regatas' coach Juan Manuel Varas used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was Javier Saiz with 16 points (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Regatas moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Obera. Instituto lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the fifth position with six games lost. They share it with Boca Juniors. Regatas will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Instituto will play against Obras (#3) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Other games of round 15 were quite predictable and ended without any surprises. Here they are:

The former international point guard Pedro Barral (187-1994) helped adding 14 points and 5 assists. Obras' coach Guido Fabbris used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was American forward Nakye Sanders (202-1997, college: Towson) with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 14 rebounds and point guard Santiago Ferreyra (188-1997) scored 16 points and 5 rebounds. Four Atenas players scored in double figures. Obras have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to third place. Atenas lost sixth consecutive game. They dropped to the sixteenth position with nine games lost. Obras will meet Instituto (#5) in the next round. Atenas will have a break next round.

It was a great evening for point guard Facundo Vazquez (185-1998) who led his team to a victory scoring 20 points and 5 rebounds. Ivan Basualdo helped adding 10 points and 12 rebounds. Four Penarol players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American center Chris Vogt (213-1999, college: Wisconsin, agency: Haylett Sports) with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 11 rebounds and the former international point guard Franco Balbi (189-1989) scored 13 points, 6 assists and 4 steals. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Penarol have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. They maintain fourth place with 7-4 record. Loser Union SF dropped to the fourteenth position with six games lost. Penarol will meet at home Obera (#8) in the next round. Union will have a break next round.
