Here is the last round review presented by LBM Management.

Second defeat of league's leader Obras (7-2) against seventh ranked Berazategui (5-2) 75-70 was the most important game of the last round. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Obras. Berazategui made 17-of-22 free shots (77.3 percent) during the game. Worth to mention a great performance of point guard Sofia Acevedo (167-2001) who helped to win the game recording 22 points and 4 assists. Luz Andujar (173-2005) contributed with 10 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Guard Candela Foresto (163-1999) answered with 15 points and 6 rebounds for Obras. Obras' coach Javier Ielmini rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Berazategui moved-up to sixth place. Obras at the other side dropped to the second position with two games lost. They were replaced at the leadership position by Chanares. Obras will have a break next week, which should allow them to rest and make it back to the top of the standings. Berazategui will try to continue on its current victory against ninth ranked Independiente in Neuquen.

At the losing side American swingman Nija Collier (183-1999, college: Central Mo.) responded with 11 points and 9 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Despite that victory Obras went down to second position due to points difference. Union Florida lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the ninth place with four games lost. They share the position with Gorriones and Independiente. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
Bottom-ranked Riachuelo is still unable to win any game. But it was rather predictable considering how strong their opponent was. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their sixth consecutive match to leader Chanares (7-0) 99-81 on Thursday evening. Regina Carosio nailed a triple-double by scoring 23 points, 12 rebounds, 10 assists and 6 steals for the winning side. Cira Gordillo came up with 17 points and 4 assists for Riachuelo in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Undefeated Chanares have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. They keep a position of league leader. Loser Riachuelo still closes the standings with six games lost. Chanares will meet San Jose (#16) in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Riachuelo will play against Avellaneda and hopes to get finally their first victory.

Other games in round 13 were not that significant. El Talar smashed Lanus on the road 78-48. Independiente lost to Bigua on its own court 74-79. Rocamora unfortunately lost to Lanus in a road game 47-65. Quimsa managed to beat Gorriones at home 57-44. Instituto was defeated by Hindu on the opponent's court 71-66.

Lanus - El Talar 48-78

No shocking result in a game when eleventh ranked El Talar (4-3) crushed on the road 17th ranked Lanus (2-7) 78-48 on Tuesday. El Talar forced 21 Lanus turnovers. Venezuelan Aguehil Fajardo (183-1999) nailed a double-double by scoring 12 points and 12 rebounds for the winning side and Rocio Cejas (171-2001) accounted for 15 points and 5 steals. Four El Talar players scored in double figures. Forward Renata Scordo (185-2008) came up with 9 points and 9 rebounds and guard Berenice Lopez (168-1999) added 4 points and 8 rebounds respectively for Lanus in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. El Talar moved-up to eighth place. Lanus lost seventh consecutive game. They dropped to the fourteenth position with seven games lost. El Talar will meet higher ranked Ferro (#4) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Lanus will have a break next round.

There was an upset when higher ranked Independiente (4-4) lost to thirteenth ranked Bigua (3-5) in Neuquen 74-79 on Wednesday. Bigua made 17-of-22 free shots (77.3 percent) during the game. The former international Maria Jourdheuil (180-1994) nailed a double-double by scoring 28 points and 12 rebounds for the winning side and the former international swingman Agustina Garcia (173-1996) accounted for 23 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Martina Torres (180-2002) came up with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 10 rebounds and Valentina Mendoza added 16 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists respectively for Independiente in the defeat. Bigua have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain thirteenth place with 3-5 record. Loser Independiente dropped to the ninth position with four games lost. They share it with Union Florida and Gorriones. Bigua will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Power forward Nerea Schmidt (174-1995) came up with 9 points and 11 rebounds and guard Paula Santini (165-2006) added 8 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for Rocamora in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Lanus moved-up to fourteenth place. Rocamora lost third consecutive game. Point guard Lucia Boggetti (162-1998) nailed 8 points and 11 rebounds for the winning side and swingman Lorena Campos (171-1999) accounted for 14 points and 5 rebounds. Quimsa's coach Matias Bejarano used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Uruguayan guard Joaquina Gregorio (168-2001, agency: BIG) came up with 18 points and Jacqueline Soto (-1997, agency: BIG) added 4 points and 16 rebounds respectively for Gorriones in the defeat. Instituto's coach Ignacio Correas tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Hindu moved-up to third place.
