LaLiga Femenina top team - Chanares (9-0) had no problems winning another game on Friday. This time they crushed thirteenth ranked Avellaneda (4-6) in James Craik 94-70. Chanares looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Lucia Juarez (-2002) who helped to win the game recording 31 points and 6 rebounds. Forward Stefania Lucero (172-1993, agency: BIG) contributed with 15 points, 9 rebounds and 9 assists for the winners. Power forward Milagros Morell (191-2007) replied with 18 points and 8 rebounds for Avellaneda. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Undefeated Chanares have an impressive nine-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 9-0 record. Avellaneda at the other side dropped to the twelfth place with six games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
Bottom-ranked Riachuelo is still unable to win any game. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their ninth consecutive match to fifth ranked Quimsa (6-3) 83-67. Worth to mention a great performance of swingman Lorena Campos (171-1999) who helped to win the game recording 14 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists and Lara Perez who added 16 points during the contest. At the losing side point guard Florencia Ortiz (160-2000) responded with 25 points, 5 rebounds, 7 assists and 6 steals. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Despite that victory Quimsa went down to sixth position due to points difference, which they share with Berazategui. Riachuelo at the other side still closes the standings with nine games lost. Quimsa will play against San Jose (#15) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Riachuelo will have a break next round.
The game in Cordoba supposed to be also quite interesting. Fourth ranked Hindu (8-3) played at the court of 6th ranked Instituto (6-4). Hindu smashed Instituto 69-48 on Thursday. The winners were led by Malvina DAgostino who had that evening a double-double by scoring 12 points, 23 rebounds and 4 blocks. Even 19 points and 9 rebounds by Giselle Botta did not help to save the game for Instituto. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Hindu have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Ferro. Loser Instituto dropped to the eighth position with four games lost. They share it with Union Florida. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.

Other games in round 16 were not that significant. Union Florida beat Lanus on the road 66-60. Bigua lost to defending champion Ferro on its own court 66-82. Avellaneda managed to outperform Bochas in a road game 68-54. Independiente managed to beat El Talar at home 63-58.
The most impressive performance of 16th round was 25 points and 8 rebounds by Laila Raviolo of Independiente.
