The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Barrio Parque as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Barrio Parque defeated 4th placed Santa Paula in Cordoba 75-70. Swingman Federico Gobetti (192-1999) came up with 25 points and 7 rebounds for Provincial in the defeat. Lanus maintains seventh place with 14-10 record. Provincial at the other side still keeps top position with six games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.

At the other side the best for losing team was Alfredo Ventura who recorded 12 points and 5 rebounds. Dep Viedma's coach Guillermo Bogliacino rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Quilmes moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Pico FC. Loser Dep Viedma dropped to the seventh position with 11 games lost. They share it with Racing A. and Suardi. Quilmes will meet at home Villa Mitre (#11) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Dep Viedma will have a break next round.

There were no shocking results in the rest of the games of round 45: El Talar lost to La Union on the opponent's court 68-75. Centenario VT unfortunately lost to Pico FC in a home game 81-85. Dep Norte managed to beat Ciclista on the road 63-62. GELP defeated Villa Mitre on its own court 98-81. Amancay beat Colon in La Rioja 87-82. Rivadavia lost to Jujuy at home 65-73.



La Union - El Talar 75-68

Very expected game in Colon where 15th ranked El Talar (8-15) was defeated by third ranked La Union (16-6) 75-68 on Saturday. The best player for the winners was Rodrigo Acuna (198-1995) who had a double-double by scoring 22 points and 12 rebounds. Bolivian forward Gonzalo Romero (196-1997) chipped in 17 points and 8 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Facundo Sanz (197-1996, agency: BIG) who recorded 12 points and 7 rebounds and guard Facundo Lopez (192-1993) added 12 points and 4 assists respectively. El Talar's coach Leandro Genovese rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. La Union have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain third place with 16-6 record having five points less than leader Provincial. El Talar lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the fourteenth position with 15 games lost. La Union will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. El Talar will play against Centenario VT (#10) and hope to secure a win.
