Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

The game in Chivilcoy was quite interesting. 7th ranked Independ.O. (15-10) played at the court of eighth ranked Racing Ch. (13-13). Racing Ch. defeated Independ.O. 91-77 on Friday. Racing Ch. outrebounded Independ.O. 42-29 including a 30-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great evening for Tomas Delia who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 23 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. Joaquin Capurro helped adding 14 points, 11 rebounds and 7 assists. Racing Ch.'s coach used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. point guard Maximo Benavidez (183-2007) responded with 21 points and 6 assists. Racing Ch. maintains eighth place with 13-13 record. Independ.O. at the other side keeps the seventh position with ten games lost. Racing Ch. are looking forward to face higher ranked Ferro (#6) in Buenos Aires in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Independ.O. will play on the road against Argentino in Junin and is hoping to win this game.

It was a quality performance for forward Roman Moravansky (195-2008) who led the winners and scored 16 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Juan Ryzwaniuk accounted for 13 points and 11 rebounds. Guard Jeremias Barco (-2005) came up with 24 points and 6 rebounds for Olimpico in the defeat. There were no shocking results in the rest of the games of round 35: San Martin lost to Obera on the opponent's court 87-96. Quimsa unfortunately lost to Ferro in a home game 75-81. San Lorenzo was rolled over Regatas on the road 66-87. La Union defeated Gimnasia on its own court 74-65. Platense beat Penarol in Florida 74-70. Argentino lost to Racing Ch. at home 57-74.



Obera - San Martin 96-87

Rather expected game when 14th ranked San Martin (9-18) was defeated on the road by twelfth ranked Obera (11-14) 96-87. Obera dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to San Martin's 32. They outrebounded San Martin 43-31 including 30 on the defensive glass. It was an exceptional evening for guard Albano Costa (192-2006) who led the winners and scored 32 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Spanish forward Tobias Reizner (203, college: Truman St.) accounted for 14 points, 16 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side. Dante Saettone came up with 29 points and 6 assists and Giovano Pertile added 13 points and 9 rebounds respectively for San Martin in the defeat. Five Obera and four San Martin players scored in double figures. Obera moved-up to tenth place. San Martin lost eighth consecutive game. They dropped to the fifteenth position with 18 games lost. Obera will play against Quimsa (#11) in Santiago del Estero in the next round. San Martin will play at home against Gimnasia (#12) and hopes to get back on the winning track.

They brought some defensive toughness making 8 blocks. It was an exceptional evening for guard Ulises Martorell (198-2006) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 10 rebounds. Camilo Jara accounted for 12 points and 6 rebounds for the winning side. Four Ferro players scored in double figures. Romeo Amprimo came up with 29 points and forward Patricio Cogliati (203-2006) added 8 points and 13 rebounds respectively for Quimsa in the defeat. Quimsa's coach Mariano Marcos rotated twelve players in this game, but that didn't help. Ferro have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain sixth place with 17-9 record. Quimsa at the other side dropped to the eleventh position with 15 games lost. They share it with Gimnasia. Ferro will play against Racing Ch. (#8) in Chivilcoy in the next round. Quimsa will play at home against Obera and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

San Lorenzo lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the ninth position with 14 games lost. Everything went according to plan in Formosa where fourth ranked La Union (21-6) beat 11th ranked Gimnasia CR (11-15) 74-65. La Union forced 22 Gimnasia turnovers. Gimnasia was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. It was an exceptional evening for Franco Gimenez (190) who led the winners and scored 35 points (!!!) and 5 rebounds (on 12-of-14 shooting from the field). Paraguayan Hugo Paez (-2005, agency: BIG) accounted for 9 points and 6 rebounds for the winning side. La Union's coach Felix Medina allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Venezuelan center Jesus Centeno (205-2006) came up with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 16 rebounds and 4 blocks (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line) and naturalized Italian Santino Santacroce added 19 points respectively for Gimnasia in the defeat. La Union have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to second place. Gimnasia at the other side keeps the eleventh position with 15 games lost. They share it with Quimsa.
