Eighth-ranked Berazategui (8-8) gave a tough game to second ranked Obras (14-2) in Buenos Aires on Friday. Obras managed to secure only three-point victory 72-69. However their fans expected much easier game. Obras outrebounded Berazategui 42-26 including a 37-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Nicole Tapari (172-2004) who helped to win the game recording 12 points and 8 rebounds and the former international point guard Florencia Chagas (180-2001) who added 9 points and 7 assists during the contest. Obras' coach Javier Ielmini used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. The best for the losing side was point guard Sofia Acevedo (167-2001) with 22 points and 4 assists. Obras have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 14-2 record having just two points less than leader Chanares. Berazategui lost fifth consecutive game. A very close game took place in Buenos Aires between Ferro and Union Florida. Fifth ranked Ferro (12-5) got a very close home victory over 6th ranked Union Florida (9-7). Ferro managed to escape with a 1-point win 71-70 on Monday evening. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Union Florida. The best player for the winners was Julia Fernandez who had a double-double by scoring 11 points and 10 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was Sol Depetris who recorded 24 points and 4 assists. Union Florida's coach Nicolas Grosso tried various players' combinations and tested in total twelve players in this game, but that didn't help. Ferro have a solid three-game winning streak. Defending champion moved-up to fourth place. Loser Union Florida keeps the sixth position with seven games lost. They share it with Instituto.
