Jonquel Jones joins Fenerbahce

Fenerbahce Spor Kulubu Istanbul (KBSL) agreed terms with 23-year old Bahamas center Jonquel Jones (198-94, college: G.Washington). She played this summer at Connecticut Sun (WNBA). In 9 games she had very impressive stats: 15.2ppg, 12.1rpg, 1.1apg, 1.0spg and 1.2bpg. The last season Jones played at Woori Bank in South Korean WKBL where in 38 games she recorded also remarkable stats: 15.8ppg, 14.3rpg and 2.8bpg.
Last year she was drafted by Connecticut Sun (WNBA) in first round (6th overall).
Jones attended George Washington University until 2016 and it is her second season in pro basketball.
She was voted All-Atlantic 10 Player of the Year in 2015 at her college time.
Jones also represented Bahamas at the CBC Championships for Women in Tortola (British Virgin Islands) three years ago. Her stats at that event were 5 games: Score-2 (17.2ppg), Reb-1 (14.0rpg), 2.0apg, 1.6spg, 1.4bpg, FGP: 37.5%, 3PT-2 (50.0%), FT: 64.5%.
