Boomer G Operators hold off Cheetahs in NPWBA Finals opener

Boomer G Operators secured the winning start to their NPWBA Finals campaign. They edged Cheetahs 57:54 in the opener. Ruthann Simms scored 19 points to lead the winners.
Operators grabbed a 26:23 halftime lead. Cheetahs denied the deficit in the third term. They tied things up at 42 heading into the fourth period. But Boomer G Operators held their opponents to 12 points in the final quarter and snatched the victory. Chrishanda Rahming netted 12 points in the win. Shantelle Rolle replied with 14 points for Cheetahs.
