The Regular Season in NPBA just ended. Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.
The most exciting game of round 19 in the NPBA took place in Nassau. This derby game ended with only one-point defeat on the road of 4th placed Regulators (5-8) to third ranked Tucker Boys (7-8) 72-71 on Wednesday evening. Tucker Boys outrebounded Regulators 50-33 including 17 on the offensive glass. Tucker Boys looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Clayton Tucker fired 24 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Lorenzo Rolle chipped in 22 points. Cleo Sears produced 25 points and 7 rebounds for lost side. Tucker Boys moved-up to second place, which they share with Bahamas Univ. Regulators lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the fourth position with eight games lost.
Important game to mention about took place in Nassau. Sixth ranked Shockers (4-9) saved a 2-point derby victory at home edging 5th ranked Zulu MM (5-9) 75-73 on Thursday evening. Worth to mention a great performance of Dario Mckenzie who helped to win the game recording 22 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists. William Rigby contributed with 18 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Bertrum Minns answered with a double-double by scoring 28 points and 15 rebounds for Zulu MM. Zulu MM's coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total twelve players in this game, but that didn't help. Shockers maintains sixth place with 4-9 record. Zulu MM lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the fourth position with nine games lost.
Another exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Nassau: Giants (#1) and Sand Dollar (#2). Sand Dollar was crushed at home by 34 points 67-101 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. It was a great evening for Jackson Jacob who led his team to a victory scoring 29 points and 7 assists. Giants' coach felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side Van Hutchinson responded with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds. Undefeated Giants (14-0) have an impressive series of fourteen victories in a row. They maintain first place with a perfect record of 14 victories in a row. Sand Dollar at the other side keeps the second position with three games lost.
In the last two games of round 19 TMT Giants were defeated by Sunlight CS in a road game 73-58. Island DR was beaten by Zulu MM at home 85-94.
