NPWBA Round 7 (Regular Season): Defenders lose to Flyers

Here is the last round review presented by LBM Management.

The game between third ranked Defenders (6-8) and fifth ranked Flyers (2-8) was the most important one in the last round on Saturday night. Defenders were defeated by Flyers in a tough game on the road 49-57. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international center Britenique Harrison (193-1992, college: Benedict) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 13 points and 13 rebounds. Shadell Willams contributed with 15 points and 7 assists for the winners. Johndell Minus answered with 17 points and 8 rebounds for Defenders. Flyers moved-up to fourth place. Defenders at the other side keep the third position with eight games lost. Flyers are looking forward to face league's leader Ballers in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Defenders will have a break next round.

It was a great evening for Valarie Nesbitt who led her team to a victory scoring 15 points, 8 rebounds, 7 assists and 5 steals. Reyanah Green helped adding 14 points and 10 rebounds. At the losing side Traineia Greene responded with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 13 rebounds. Undefeated Ballers have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They maintain first place with 10-0 record. Sparks lost third consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with six games lost. Ballers will play against Flyers (#4) in the next round. Sparks will play against the league's second-placed Eagles to get more than just one victory in their record.

NPWBA top team - Ballers (10-0) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed fifth ranked Sparks (1-6) 86-63. Ballers forced 30 Sparks turnovers. Strangely Sparks outrebounded Ballers 49-37 including 20 on the offensive glass.
