Jonquel Jones agreed terms with Sichuan

Sichuan Yuanda Meile Basketball Club (WCBA) strengthened their roster with addition of 30-year old Bosnian-Bahamas 198cm center Jonquel Jones (college: GWU) for season 2024-25. She played most recently at New York Liberty (WNBA). In 51 games she just recently played she recorded 14.2ppg, 8.9rpg, 3.0apg and 1.1bpg last season. Great year indeed as she was awarded WNBA Finals MVP, All-Star Game and to the WNBA League All-Star Game. The last season she played at Mongolia.
In 2016 she was drafted by Connecticut Sun (WNBA) in first round (6th overall).
The former George Washington University star is in her ninth season in pro basketball.
She also represented Bosnia at the FIBA World Cup for Women in Sydney (Australia) two years ago. During this event she scored an average of 13.6 points per game and had 8.8 rebounds per game.
Jones is a very experienced player. Thanks to her pro career she managed to play on three different continents (Europe, Asia and of course North America) in four different countries. She has played previously professionally in Korea (Woori Bank), Russia (UMMC Yekaterinburg), Turkey (Fenerbahce and Mersin) and China (Flame).
Among many awards she received Asia-Basket.com All-Chinese WCBA Player of the Year award back in 2018. Jones played also for Clemson University for one year.
