Regular Season Round 9: Puente Alto - Quilicura 85-81

The game between closely ranked teams ended with 5th ranked Quilicura's (3-6) road loss to fourth ranked Puente Alto (5-6) 81-85 on Saturday. Puente Alto had a 31-20 advantage in offensive rebounds. Quilicura was plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was Argentinian forward Nicholas Wadell (201-89) who had a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!) and 11 rebounds (on 12-of-14 shooting from the field). Guard Felix Ibarra (187-93) chipped in a double-double by scoring 19 points, 10 rebounds and 7 assists. Four Puente Alto players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was the former international forward Jose Campos (189-80) who recorded 27 points and 5 steals and the former international forward Julius Holt (187-85) added 23 points and 6 rebounds respectively. Quilicura's coach tested ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Puente Alto moved-up to third place, which they share with AB Temuco. Quilicura lost their third game in a row. They keep the fifth position with six games lost. Puente Alto will face Los Leones (#4) in Quilpue in the next round. Quilicura will play at home against Universidad Catolica and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
