Regular Season Round 27: Tinguiririca - Puerto Montt 64-104
Date: May 1, 2022
Rather predictable result when eighth ranked Puerto Montt (12-11) rolled over 11th ranked Tinguiririca (5-19) in San Fernando 104-64 on Sunday. Puerto Montt forced 22 Tinguiririca turnovers. It was a good game for the former international center Jorge Valencia (206-1977) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 14 rebounds. American center Roquez Johnson (201-1992, college: MSU, agency: BIG) contributed with 15 points and 5 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) for the winners. The former international guard Eduardo Sepulveda (186-1986) answered with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 11 rebounds and center Sergio Chialva (-1994) added 7 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Tinguiririca. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Puerto Montt maintains eighth place with 12-11 record. Tinguiririca lost sixth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the eleventh position with 19 games lost. They share it with Talca.
