A very close game took place in Talca between Municipal C. and Talca. Fourth ranked Municipal C. (3-4) got a very close victory on the road over 3rd placed Talca (3-5). Municipal C. managed to escape with a 3-point win 64-61 in the game for the third place. It was an exceptional evening for center Matias Villagran (199-1988) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 13 rebounds. Venezuelan center Sergio Mijares accounted for 19 points and 9 rebounds for the winning side. American forward Jason Watts II (201, college: Lambton, agency: Elevate Sports Alliance) came up with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 13 rebounds and the former international Mohunir Zerene (187-1994) added 15 points and 5 assists respectively for Talca in the defeat. Municipal C. moved-up to third place, which they share with Castro and Sergio Ceppi. Talca lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the fourth position with five games lost. Municipal C. will meet at home league's second-placed Truenos in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Talca will have a break next round.
