First defeat of ChileanSportiva Ita. against Argentinian Union Florida 74-61 was the most important game of the last round. The game was mostly controlled by Union Florida. Sportiva Ita. managed to win third quarter 18-14 . But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Guard Maria Martinez (170-1994) orchestrated the victory by scoring 9 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists. Power forward Maria Laviero (172-1996) contributed with 11 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Four Union Florida players scored in double figures. Colombian guard Manuela Rios (165-1997) replied with 24 points and 6 rebounds and Mexican guard Karla Martinez (175-2000, college: San Diego) added 13 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Sportiva Ita.Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
