The game was mostly controlled by Indeportes. Malvin was better in fourth quarter 22-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Indeportes made 18-of-23 charity shots (78.3 percent) during the game. Indeportes outrebounded Malvin 49-26 including a 15-3 advantage in offensive rebounds. Malvin was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. Forward Yuliany Paz (195-2000) stepped up and scored 3 points and 19 rebounds for the winners and guard Valentina Lopez (175-1994) chipped in 16 points (made all of her seven free throws). At the losing side Colombian forward Jenifer Munoz (170-1991) responded with 20 points and 5 rebounds and Argentinian Maria Jourdheuil (180-1994) scored 14 points. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.

Univ.de Chile dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to Centauros' 38. They outrebounded Centauros 62-41 including a 19-8 advantage in offensive rebounds. Univ.de Chile looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. 26 personal fouls committed by Centauros helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Worth to mention a great performance of center Tatiana Gomez (192-1981) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 39 points (!!!) and 25 rebounds. Point guard Javiera Novion (170-1987, college: Eckerd) contributed with 18 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners. Univ.de Chile's coach used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. American guard Kristen Spolyar (178-1997, college: Butler) answered with 37 points (!!!) and 8 rebounds and swingman Daniela Soto (177-1995) added 12 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Centauros.
