BEBL Round 3 (Regular Season): Tiger Sharks beat Dream Ballers by three after a very close game

Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

The most exciting game of round 3 in the BEBL took place in Dangriga. This derby game ended with only three-point home defeat of Dream Ballers (1-2) to Tiger Sharks (3-0) 77-74 on Saturday evening. Tiger Sharks forced 24 Dream Ballers turnovers and outrebounded them 63-40 including a 41-25 advantage in defensive rebounds. 24 personal fouls committed by Dream Ballers helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a good game for point guard Francis Arana (180-1997) who led his team to a victory with 22 points and 9 rebounds. Keon Rowland contributed with 19 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. American Deshawn Brackett (178-2001) answered with 33 points (!!!) and 4 steals for Dream Ballers. Tiger Sharks are looking forward to face Western Ballaz (#3) in San Ignacio in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Dream Ballers will play at home against Panthers and are hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.
The game between Panthers (2-1) and Suns (1-3) in Punta Gorda ended with biggest points difference. Panthers beat guests from 84-71. Worth to mention a quality performance of American forward Marquis Cunningham (208-1995, college: UAPB) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 16 points, 15 rebounds and 4 blocks. Jaden Sutherland helped adding 15 points and 6 rebounds. The best for the losing side was American power forward Jamaal Clifton (198-1998, college: Langston) with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 17 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Panthers will play against Dream Ballers (#5) in Dangriga in the next round. Suns will have a break next round.

Panthers - Suns 84-71

The game between Panthers (2-1) and Suns (1-3) in Punta Gorda ended with biggest points difference. Panthers beat guests from 84-71. Panthers dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Suns' 38. Suns were plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a quality performance of American forward Marquis Cunningham (208-1995, college: UAPB) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 16 points, 15 rebounds and 4 blocks. Jaden Sutherland helped adding 15 points and 6 rebounds. The best for the losing side was American power forward Jamaal Clifton (198-1998, college: Langston) with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 17 rebounds and Brandon Rogers (191-1986) scored 16 points and 8 rebounds. Four Suns players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Panthers will play against Dream Ballers (#5) in Dangriga in the next round. Suns will have a break next round.

The game between closely ranked teams ended with Panthers' (2-1) home victory over Suns (1-3) in Punta Gorda 83-79. It was a great evening for Lindsay Young who led his team to a victory scoring 19 points and 8 rebounds. American forward Marquis Cunningham (208-1995, college: UAPB) helped adding 12 points and 11 rebounds. Five Panthers players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American power forward Jamaal Clifton (198-1998, college: Langston) with a double-double by scoring 27 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists (on 12-of-14 shooting from the field) and Brandon Rogers (191-1986) scored 21 points (perfect behind the arc making all five shots). Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Panthers will play against Dream Ballers (#5) in Dangriga in the next round. Suns will have a break next round.
