The most exciting game of round 6 in the BEBL took place in . This derby game ended with only three-point defeat on the road of 4th ranked Western Ballaz (2-3) to sixth ranked City Kings (2-5) 101-98 on Friday evening. Kings forced 27 Western Ballaz turnovers. Strangely Western Ballaz outrebounded Kings 43-27 including 29 on the defensive glass. It was a good game for Elvert Ariola who led his team to a victory with 33 points (!!!) and 7 rebounds. Jevaughn McKenzie contributed with 19 points and 4 assists for the winners. Center Jahiem Ciego replied with 27 points and 5 rebounds for Western Ballaz. Newly promoted Kings maintains sixth position with 2-5 record. Western Ballaz at the other side keeps the fourth place with three games lost. Kings are looking forward to face higher ranked Thunderbolts (#3) in Belize City in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Western Ballaz will play on the road against Thunderbolts in Belize City and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
BEBL top team - Tiger Sharks (7-0) managed to deliver another win. This time they beat fifth ranked Panthers (2-4) in Punta Gorda 63-54. The former international guard Jihad Wright (193-1993, college: UNCP) had a double-double by scoring 19 points, 10 rebounds, 7 assists and 7 steals to lead the charge for the winners and Brian White chipped in 7 points and 13 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was Jaden Sutherland with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 13 rebounds. Panthers' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Undefeated Tiger Sharks have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 7-0 record. Panthers lost third consecutive game. They keep the fifth place with four games lost. Tiger Sharks will play against league's second-placed Dream Ballers in Dangriga in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Panthers will play again on the road against the league's leader Tiger Sharks in San Pedro and hope to get back on the winning track.

Daniel Conorque notched 18 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) to lead the effort. Dream Ballers' coach felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even 22 points (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line) by Ray Cruz did not help to save the game for Suns. Dream Ballers maintains second position with 5-2 record having just two points less than leader Tiger Sharks. Newly promoted Suns dropped to the bottom place with five games lost. Dream Ballers will meet league's leader Tiger Sharks in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Suns will have a break next round.
