This derby game ended with only one-point defeat on the road of 5th ranked Dream Ballers (2-4) to leader Tiger Sharks (4-0) 86-85 on Saturday evening. Tiger Sharks forced 21 Dream Ballers turnovers. 27 personal fouls committed by Dream Ballers helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American guard Conner Jackson (190-2000, college: Purdue NW, agency: 6th Man Basketball Agency) stepped up and scored 23 points and 9 rebounds for the winners and Edward Hampton chipped in 16 points and 5 rebounds. The former international forward Jihad Wright (193-1993, college: UNCP) responded with 16 points and 7 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Tiger Sharks have a solid series of four victories in a row. Defending champion keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Running Rebels. Dream Ballers at the other side keep the fifth place with four games lost. Tiger Sharks is looking forward to face Defenders (#4) in Belize City in the next round. Dream Ballers will play at home against Trojans and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Forward Bobby Williams (, college: Contra Costa) nailed 19 points and 9 rebounds for the winning side and Nigel Jones accounted for 18 points and 6 rebounds (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!). Swingman Eddie Ishman (197-1986, college: Miles) came up with 14 points and 9 rebounds for Suns in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Defenders maintains fourth place with 2-2 record. Suns at the other side still closes the standings with four games lost. Defenders will play against league's second-placed Tiger Sharks in San Pedro in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Suns will play at home against the league's leader Running Rebels (#1) and hope to get finally their first victory.
