The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Running Rebels as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Running Rebels defeated 6th ranked Trojans in Belize City 89-82. Running Rebels dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Trojans' 40. 24 personal fouls committed by Trojans helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Americans were the main players on the court. It was a great evening for power forward Kenneth Perkins Jr (210-1997, college: Philander Smith) who led his team to a victory scoring 27 points and 6 rebounds. Guard William Jr Stanford (190-1998, college: Mobile, AL, agency: Fully Feared Sports) helped adding 22 points and 6 rebounds. Running Rebels' coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Rhondi Hackett (201-1997, college: LMU) responded with 25 points and 5 rebounds. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with Defenders. Trojans lost ninth consecutive game. They dropped to the bottom place with nine games lost. They share the position with Suns. Trojans will play next round against strong Tiger Sharks trying to get back on the winning streak. Running Rebels will try to continue on its current victory against fifth ranked Dream Ballers in Dangriga.
Very important is a road loss of third ranked Western Ballaz (6-3) against fifth ranked Dream Ballers (4-5) on Saturday night. Visiting Western Ballaz was crushed by Dream Ballers in Dangriga 101-75. It was an exceptional evening for forward Arik Nicholas (196, college: ACU) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 28 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists. Kevon Laurie accounted for 19 points and 9 rebounds. American swingman Mark Gordon (196, college: Keiser) came up with 29 points and 8 rebounds for Western Ballers in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Dream Ballers maintains fifth place with 4-5 record. Western Ballers at the other side dropped to the fourth position with three games lost. Dream Ballers will play against league's leader Running Rebels in Belize City in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Western Ballers will have a break next round.

The best player for the winners was guard Keon Rowland who scored 29 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Forward Tyrell Griffith chipped in a double-double by scoring 17 points and 13 rebounds.
