Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

The most interesting game of round 11 in the Libobasquet was a home defeat of second-ranked Leones (8-2) to first ranked Pichincha (9-1) 86-82 in the game for the first place. It was a key game for the top position in the league. 31 personal fouls committed by Leones helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a great evening for Diego Santana who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds. Ralfi Silva helped adding 20 points and 7 rebounds. Argentinian forward Norberto Stucky (198-1994) responded with 22 points and 8 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Pichincha have an impressive series of eight victories in a row. They maintain first place with 9-1 record. Leones at the other side keep the second position with two games lost. Pichincha will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Leones will play on the road against Univ.Sucre and are hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.
Very important is a home loss of third ranked San Simon (7-3) against sixth ranked Saracho (6-4) on Wednesday night. Host San Simon was defeated by Saracho in a tough game at home 71-78. It was an exceptional evening for Argentinian forward Facundo Sanz (197-1996, agency: BIG) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 19 points, 14 rebounds and 5 assists. Felipe Vedia accounted for 15 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists. American guard Akil McClain (188-1997, college: IU Kokomo) came up with a double-double by scoring 31 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists for San Simon in the defeat. The victory was the third consecutive win for Saracho. They moved-up to fifth place. San Simon at the other side keeps the third position with three games lost. Saracho will play against bottom-ranked Tenis (#9) in the next round. San Simon will play against UNITEP (#8) and hopes to get back on the winning track.

The best player for the winners was Martin Ochoa who had a double-double by scoring 15 points, 15 rebounds and 8 assists. Nicolas Rodriguez produced 23 points and 8 rebounds for the hosts. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the third consecutive win for La Salle. They moved-up to fourth place. UNITEP lost their fourth game in a row. They keep the eighth position with nine games lost. La Salle will meet at home Atomico (#6) in the next round. UNITEP will play against San Simon and hope to secure a win.

In the last game of round 11 Univ.Sucre lost to Atomico on the opponent's court 75-82.



Leones - Pichincha 82-86

UNITEP - La Salle 62-92

The game in supposed to be also quite interesting. Fifth ranked La Salle (6-3) played at the court of 8th ranked UNITEP (2-9). La Salle smashed UNITEP 92-62 on Tuesday. La Salle dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to UNITEP's 28. They outrebounded UNITEP 43-32 including 34 on the defensive glass. La Salle looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was Martin Ochoa who had a double-double by scoring 15 points, 15 rebounds and 8 assists. Argentinian Joaquin Gamazo (198-1991) chipped in 25 points and 9 rebounds. Five La Salle players scored in double figures. Argentinian Nicolas Rodriguez produced 23 points and 8 rebounds and forward Esteban Covarrubias (190-2001) added 11 points and 4 assists respectively for the hosts. The game between closely ranked teams ended with 7th ranked Univ.Sucre's (2-8) road loss to sixth ranked Atomico (5-5) 75-82 on Wednesday. Atomico made 21-of-27 free shots (77.8 percent) during the game. They also forced 19 Univ.Sucre turnovers. The best player for the winners was Argentinian guard Erbel De Pietro (185-1988) who scored 33 points (!!!) and 6 rebounds. Argentinian Rodrigo Acuna (198-1995) chipped in 30 points. Argentinian center Sebastian Chaine (201-1986) produced a double-double by scoring 16 points and 13 rebounds and guard Jhojan Rodriguez (-1999) added 13 points and 9 rebounds respectively for the guests. Four Univ.Sucre players scored in double figures. Atomico maintains sixth place with 5-5 record. Loser Univ.Sucre keeps the seventh position with eight games lost. Atomico will meet higher ranked La Salle (#4) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Univ.Sucre will play against the league's second-placed Leones and hope to secure a win.

Very important is a home loss of third ranked San Simon (7-3) against sixth ranked Saracho (6-4) on Wednesday night. Host San Simon was defeated by Saracho in a tough game at home 71-78. Saracho had a 35-24 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was an exceptional evening for Argentinian forward Facundo Sanz (197-1996, agency: BIG) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 19 points, 14 rebounds and 5 assists. Felipe Vedia accounted for 15 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists for the winning side. Four Saracho players scored in double figures.
