NBB round 7 most important game was a victory of Brasilia over 8th ranked Caxias do Sul 96-64 on Wednesday night. Brasilia made 24-of-28 free shots (85.7 percent) during the game. Brasilia outrebounded Caxias do Sul 44-21 including a 31-14 advantage in defensive rebounds. Brasilia looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. 25 personal fouls committed by Caxias do Sul helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Worth to mention a great performance of who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 19 points and 11 rebounds. They keep the seventeenth position with six games lost. They share it with Rio Claro and Pato. Flamengo will play against Pato (#18) in Pato Branco in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Osasco will play at home against Paulistano to get more than just one victory in their record.
Worth to mention about the upset in a game between Pinheiros (5-2) and Paulistano (4-3), which took place in Sao Paulo. Higher ranked Pinheiros lost to tenth ranked Paulistano in a road game 76-81 on Thursday. It was an exceptional evening for Lucas Siewert who led the winners and scored 16 points. Paulistano's coach Demetrius Ferraciu used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. David Sloan came up with 12 points and 7 assists for Pinheiros in the defeat. The victory was the third consecutive win for Paulistano. They moved-up to eighth place. Loser Pinheiros dropped to the third position with two games lost. They share it with 3 other teams. Paulistano will meet Osasco (#17) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Pinheiros will play against U.Corinthians (#9) and hope to secure a win.

Other games in round 7 were not that significant. Rio Claro was beaten by U.Corinthians on the road 68-61. Cearense lost to Corinthians on its own court 82-98. Sesi/Franca managed to outperform Cruzeiro in Sao Paulo 90-81. UniFacisa recorded a loss to Mogi at home 63-74. Brasilia was defeated by U.Corinthians on the opponent's court 95-88. Botafogo beat Pato in a home game 82-75. Minas destroyed Rio Claro on the road 108-74. UniFacisa was outscored by Corinthians on its own court 75-105.
The most impressive performance of 7th round was 25 points and 6 assists by Elyjah Clark of Corinthians.



Osasco - Flamengo 67-88

NBB top team - Flamengo (8-0) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed seventeenth ranked Osasco (1-6) 88-67. Flamengo made 16-of-21 charity shots (76.2 percent) during the game. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Osasco's players. It was a great evening for the former international point guard Alexey Borges (185-1995) who led his team to a victory scoring 7 points and 13 assists.
