SURREY, England, UK- After back to back losses last weekend, Leslee Smith (203-F-90, college: Nebraska) and the Plymouth Raiders were hoping for a change of fortune when they faced Surrey Scorchers in the British Basketball League (BBL) on Saturday, January 18, 2020.
Winless in the BBL Championship, Plymouth managed for the majority of the game to keep things evenly matched throughout and a win looked real possible going into the third quarter, trailing by just 4 points, 76-80.

The Scorchers; however, found some added strength and energy in the fourth quarter to win 107-97.

The Virgin Islander, Smith, was again a strong presence on the court for the Raiders, ending with 15 points, 10 rebounds, 5 assists, and 2 blocks in his 29 and a half minutes of play.

Smith made his debut with Plymouth Raiders, in the British Basketball League (BBL) on Friday, January 3, 2020.

The power forward Smith played for Sheffield Sharks at the start of the 2018-19 season after two successful seasons with Bristol Flyers where he averaged 11.5 points per game and 7.5 rebounds.
