Caen Basket Calvados (NM1) agreed terms with 27-year old British V.Islands forward Norville Carey (200-103kg-93, college: Rider). He already started the season at Mes Kerman in Iranian Superleague. In only one game he recorded 12 points, 2 rebounds, 1 steal and 2 blocks this season.
Carey was also a member of British V.Islands international program for some years. He played for British V.Islands Senior National Team between 2011 and 2015 and previously for U16 National Team back in 2008.
Carey also represented British Virgin Islands at the CBC Championships in Tortola (British Virgin Islands) five years ago. His team got to the Semifinals and his stats at that event were 5 games: 8.4ppg, 7.4rpg, 1.0apg, 1.0spg, FGP: 33.3%, FT: 53.8%.
Carey has played previously professionally in Holland (Den Bosch) and France (Poitiers).
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others Carey's team made it to the C-USA Tournament Semifinals in 2014. He was also voted HS All-State Honorable Mention by the Delaware Sportswriters back in 2012 at his college time.
He attended Rider University until 2017 and it is his fourth season as a professional player.
