Tortola overpowers St. Thomas' Deh Coalition 74-67 for first KOTC title

Tortola overpowered St. Thomas' Deh Coalition 74-67 early Monday morning at the Multipurpose Sports Complex for its first title in the “King of the Courts” Caribbean Basketball Championships, and its accompanying $30,000 cash prize and Premier's Cup.
Tortola, which trailed Deh Coalition 43-32 at the half, rallied for a 53-52 lead its first since a 10-8 first-quarter edge after Kalu Ezikpe (203-F, college: Cincinnati) hit layup as time expired in the third quarter to complete a 21-9 run.
