Boston College clinched the Liga Femenina Movistar title. They swept the championship series against Universidad Austral. Boston College recorded the third consecutive victory in the series on the road yesterday.
Boston College set the tone early in the game. They registered a 33:18 lead after ten minutes. Boston College kept Universidad Austral at distance throughout the second period. They ensured a 53:29 halftime lead. The visitors added 28 points in the third term to enter the fourth period up by as many as 29 points. Universidad Austral and Boston College exchanged baskets throughout the fourth frame as the visitors marched to the trophy. Lidia Mirchandani (172-PG-76) finished with 27 points to lead Boston College. Barbara Cousino (178-F-96) added 24 points in the victory. Tatiana Gomez (193-C-81, agency: Josep and Nicolas) answered with 31 points and 23 boards in the loss.
