Sportiva Italiana outgunned Boston College in overtima drama to conquer the Liga Feminina title. Boston College jumped to a 9-point halftime lead. Sportiva Italiana however erased the deficit in the second half and forced overtime. Sportiva Italiana limited Boston College to just 5 points in the extra period and triumphed at the end. They outrebounded Boston College 61-42 including a 42-30 advantage in defensive rebounds. Narlyn Mosquera stepped up with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 19 rebounds for the winners and Marcela Jeria chipped in 19 points. At the losing side Cuban center Arlenys Gonzalez (185-87) responded with a double-double by scoring 29 points, 15 rebounds and 5 assists and international Marcela Gamboa (176-85) scored 15 points and 6 rebounds.

The former international center Tatiana Gomez (192-81) nailed a double-double by scoring 26 points and 16 rebounds for the winning side and the former international forward Daniela Troncoso (178-87) accounted for 12 points, 14 rebounds and 6 assists. Four New Crusaders players scored in double figures. New Crusaders' coach allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. The former international guardFrancisca Salvatierra (173-94) came up with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 14 rebounds and the former international guard Paula Moya (174-90) added 20 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists respectively for Univ.de Chile in the defeat.
