Jason Murphy claims Chilean LNB weekly honour

American Jason Murphy (206-C-2000) had a very impressive game in the last round for Club Deportes Puente Alto and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 10.
The 26-year old center had a double-double of 20 points and 16 rebounds, while his team beat Colo Colo (#5, 2-8) 85-72. Puente Alto is placed at 3rd position in Chilean LNB. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Puente Alto will need more victories to improve their 5-4 record. Murphy turned to be Puente Alto's top player in his first season with the team. North Carolina A&T State University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Murphy is in league's top in rebounds (2nd best: 11.3rpg) and averages solid 1.7bpg and 62.2% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young Chilean forward Aseem Luckey (206-F-2001) of Club Deportes Espanol de Talca. Luckey impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 24 points and 12 rebounds. Bad luck as Espanol lost that game 80-103 to Centro's leader Univ.Concepcion (#1, 8-0). Espanol managed to keep the same 6th spot in Centro. 9 lost games are too many comparing to just one victory Espanol managed to get this year. Luckey is a newcomer at Espanol and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 21.1ppg (#6). He also registered 9.7 boards per game.

The third best performed player last round was international guard Franco Ordenes (181-PG-1992) of second-ranked Asociacion Basquetbol Ancud. Ordenes showcased his all-around game by recording 18 points, 7 rebounds and 11 assists (!!!) in the last round. He was a key player of Ancud, leading his team to a 82-71 win against the lower-ranked Castro (#7, 1-8). Ancud needs these victories very badly if they think about taking over top position in Sur. Their record at this point is 6 victories and 4 lost games. Ordenes has a great season in Chile. After 10 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in assists with 8.7apg (best passer).
