CD Castro tabs Mike Poole, ex Halifax H.

Club Deportes Castro (Liga Nacional) inked 27-year old American forward Mike Poole (196-91kg-92, college: Iona). He played most recently at Halifax Hurricanes in Canadian NBL. In 51 NBL Canada games he averaged impressive 17.0ppg, 6.0rpg, 3.0apg and 1.6spg last season. Poole helped them to end the regular season as a second best team in NBL Canada Atlantic Division. They also advanced to the league semifinals.
The previous (2018) summer he played at Team Fancy in U.S. semi-pro league The Basketball Tournament.
Among other achievements Poole won NBL Canada Atlantic Division championship title for two years in a row (2017 and 2018).
He graduated from Iona College in 2014 and it will be his sixth season in pro basketball.
