Puente Alto - CDU Catolica 91-80

Puente Alto knocked down CDU Catolica to take 3-2 lead in the series. Puente Alto made 19-of-20 free shots (95.0 percent) during the game. Puente Alto had a 26-15 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Argentinian forward Nicholas Wadell (201-89) orchestrated the victory by scoring 24 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. American forward Corbin Jackson (198-92, college: Florida Tech) contributed with 20 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists (perfect from the field making all eight shots !!!) for the winners. Jackson is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Puente Alto players scored in double figures. American guard DJ Ursery (193, college: Alaska-Anch.) answered with 29 points and center Aitor Pickett (203-99) added 14 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Universidad Catolica. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.

Las Animas - AB Ancud 83-73

Las Animas rallied past AB Ancud to secure the semifinal berth. American power forward Khapri Alston (198-94, college: Midwestern St., agency: Agency) nailed a double-double by scoring 22 points and 17 rebounds for the winning side and his fellow American import forward Kristian Clarkson (202-84, college: Widener) accounted for 14 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Five Las Animas players scored in double figures. Argentinian Lisandro Rasio (198-90) came up with a double-double by scoring 19 points, 15 rebounds and 4 assists and American swingman Jovonni Shuler (195-87, college: SSU) added 23 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for AB Ancud in the defeat.

Puerto Montt - CD Valdivia 85-60

Puerto Montt overcame CD Valdivia for the decisive fourth win in the series. Puerto Montt dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Deportivo Valdivia's 28. Puerto Montt players were unselfish on offense dishing 28 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by Deportivo Valdivia's players. American Durrell Summers (196-89, college: Michigan St.) stepped up and scored 31 points for the winners and Italian-Argentinian point guard Diego Gerbaudo (178-89) chipped in 15 points, 6 rebounds and 12 assists. Four Puerto Montt players scored in double figures. The former international Gerardo Isla (201-91, college: Columbia, MO) responded with 9 points and 13 rebounds and Argentinian point guard Nicolas Ferreyra (185-85) scored 14 points and 5 assists. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
