LNB 2 Round 10: Stadio Italiano easily beat Liceo Curico by 15 points

Venezuelan point guard Joseph Campos (175-96, college: West LA) fired a double-double by scoring 18 points and 18 rebounds for the winners. Cristian Urrutia (-99) chipped in 16 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Stadio Italiano's coach used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Venezuelan center Sergio Mijares (-97) produced 19 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists for lost side. Stadio Italiano maintains third position with 8-5 record having three points less than leader Sportiva Italiana. Liceo Curico at the other side keeps the seventh place with eight games lost. There was no surprise in San Fernando where 9th ranked Arturo Prat (1-12) was defeated by fourth ranked Tinguiririca SF (6-4) 75-68 on Saturday. Argentinian power forward Marcos Jovanovich (202-83) fired a double-double by scoring 10 points and 16 rebounds for the winners. The former international guard Eduardo Sepulveda (186-86) chipped in 15 points and 7 rebounds. Guard Adrian Toro (176-89) produced 18 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 steals and forward Jose Naranjo (180-93) added 19 points respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Despite that victory Tinguiririca SF went down to fifth position due to points difference, which they share with Boston College. Arturo Prat lost eighth consecutive game. They dropped to the bottom place with 12 games lost. Tinguiririca SF is looking forward to face league's leader Sportiva Italiana in Valparaiso in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Arturo Prat will play at home against Brisas (#9) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

They outrebounded Brisas 54-30 including a 42-25 advantage in defensive rebounds. Cristian Carrillo (-97) fired 13 points, 9 rebounds and 9 assists for the winners. The former international center Patricio Briones (212-72, college: Miami Dade CC) chipped in 14 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Rodolfo Ordonez (-87) produced 21 points and Ian Romo (-1) added 13 points and 6 rebounds respectively for lost side. Arabe de Valp. maintains eighth position with 3-8 record. Brisas lost fifth consecutive game. They dropped to the ninth place with 11 games lost. Arabe de Valp. are looking forward to face higher ranked Stadio Italiano (#3) in Santiago in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Brisas will play on the road against Arturo Prat (#10) in San Felipe and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
