However their fans expected easier game. 24 personal fouls committed by Manquehue helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Guard Cristobal Rios (-94) orchestrated the victory by scoring 14 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists. Gaspar Hernandez (-99) contributed with 13 points and 4 assists for the winners. Forward Juan Peters (-93) replied with 32 points and 6 rebounds for Manquehue. Undefeated Sportiva Italiana have an impressive 15-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 16-0 record. Manquehue at the other side keeps the second place with four games lost. They share the position with Boston College. Sportiva Italiana are looking forward to face Liceo Curico (#7) at home in the next round where they are favorite. Manquehue will play against Truenos (#5) in Talca and is hoping to prove to their fans that this time they can win.

The game between seventh ranked Liceo Curico (7-10) and 10th ranked Arturo Prat (1-16) in Curico on Friday ended with biggest points difference. Liceo Curico outscored guests from San Felipe 103-74. Marko Castro notched 15 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) to lead the effort. Liceo Curico's coach felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even 18 points by Jose Naranjo did not help to save the game for Arturo Prat. Liceo Curico maintains seventh position with 7-10 record. Arturo Prat lost twelfth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom place with 16 games lost. Liceo Curico will meet league's leader Sportiva Italiana in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Arturo Prat will play against Arabe de Valp. (#8) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Even 8 points and 4 assists by guard Felipe Oyarzun (187-89) did not help to save the game for Brisas. Ian Romo (-1) added 9 points and 5 rebounds for the hosts. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
