LNB 2 Round 3: Liceo Curico hand first loss to Municipal C.- May 23, 2022
There were just three rounds played in Regular Season of LNB 2 and we can clearly see which teams will fight for top positions and which will try to avoid bottom places. Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.
Liceo Curico - Municipal C. 77-76 The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Municipal C. (0-1) on the court of Liceo Curico on Tuesday night. Visitors were edged by Liceo Curico 77-76. 24 personal fouls committed by Municipal C. helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a good game for forward Juan Carrasco (-98) who saved his team from a defeat with 26 points and 5 rebounds. Center Sergio Chialva (-94) contributed with 9 points and 15 rebounds for the winners. Forward Diego Fuentes (-1993) answered with 10 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists and Javier Munoz added 15 points in the effort for Municipal C.Four Liceo Curico and five Municipal C. players scored in double figures. Visiting Luis Matte was crushed by Boston College in Santiago 74-44. Boston College forced 19 Luis Matte turnovers. It was a great evening for forward Rodrigo Rojas (-1997) who led his team to a victory scoring 19 points and 7 rebounds. Haitian forward Heder Louis (-1984) helped adding 9 points and 15 rebounds. It was an exceptional evening for forward Nick Morales (187-1985) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 14 rebounds. Alessandro Morales (-1998) accounted for 15 points, 5 rebounds, 7 assists and 5 steals for the winning side. Five Truenos players scored in double figures. Center Marko Castro (192-88) came up with 9 points and 13 rebounds and forward Jonathan Alvial (188-1988) added 14 points and 7 rebounds respectively for Aleman in the defeat. Aleman's coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Truenos will meet Liceo PN (#3) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Aleman will play against Municipal C. (#12) and hope to secure a win. It was an exceptional evening for the former international Fernando Schuler (190-1991) who led the winners and scored 16 points, 9 rebounds and 8 assists. The former international forward Jorge Schuler (199-1987) accounted for 23 points and 7 rebounds for the winning side. Cristian Urrutia (-1999) came up with 18 points and 6 rebounds and Gabriel Soto (-2002) added 17 points respectively for Stadio Italiano in the defeat.
