Sascha Frings
Experienced Sascha Frings (202-F/C-1986) had a great game in the last round for Brisas and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents LNB 2 Player of the Week award for round 9.
The 36-year old power forward had a double-double of 22 points and ten rebounds, while his team outclassed Luis Matte (#12, 4-7) with 28-point margin 81-53. The game was not the highest importance and did not have significant influence on top of the standings. Brisas maintains the 15th position in Chilean LNB 2. The season is in a full swing, so it's only a dream for the team to make it into top half of the standings. For contrary they may face relegation if the situation turns from bad to worse. Brisas have already lost 9 games and recorded just two victories. In the team's last game Frings had a remarkable 54.5% from 2-point range. He has many years of experience at Brisas, through which he has constantly improved. Sascha Frings averages this season 14.0ppg and 6.8rpg.
The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young swingman Francisco Pena (187-G/F-1989) of Stadio Italiano. Pena impressed basketball fans with 20 points and 8 rebounds. It was enough for Stadio Italiano to edge the higher-ranked Arabe de Valp. (#7, 5-4) by 6 points 82-76. Stadio Italiano's 14th position in the standings has not changed. 8 lost games are too many comparing to just two victories Stadio Italiano managed to get this year. Pena is one of the most experienced players at Stadio Italiano and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.
The third best performed player last round was Hans Adrian (2001) of Tomas L. (#13). Adrian scored 14 points and grabbed sixteen rebounds (!!!). Despite Adrian's great performance Tomas L. lost 60-69 to the higher-ranked Truenos (#6, 6-3). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. Tomas L. can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have rather bad season and 2-7 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Adrian has a very solid season. In 8 games in Chile he scored 7.4ppg. He also has 4.8rpg and FGP: 54.5%.

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
