Worth to mention a quality performance of guard Matias Lubiano (-1999) who helped to win the game recording 23 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field) and Gaspar Hernandez who added 23 points during the contest. The best for the losing side was Ronald Reyes (-1999) with 23 points and 9 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Sportiva Italiana have an impressive eight-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 10-1 record. Luis Matte lost third consecutive game. A very close game took place in Osorno between Osorno and Liceo Curico. Seventh ranked Osorno (7-4) got a very close home victory over 11th ranked Liceo Curico (4-7). Osorno managed to escape with a 1-point win 68-67 on Sunday evening. The winners were led by Travion Leonard who had that evening a double-double by scoring 28 points and 14 rebounds. Even 21 points and 8 rebounds by Sebastian Riquelme did not help to save the game for Liceo Curico. Osorno moved-up to fifth place. Liceo Curico at the other side keeps the eleventh position with seven games lost. Osorno will meet at home Aleman (#10) in the next round where they are favorite. Liceo Curico will play against Tomas L. and hope to secure a win.

In the last two games of round 12 Liceo PN beat Aleman on the road 73-63. Espanol O. destroyed Tomas L. on its own court 74-53.

No shocking result in a game when third ranked Liceo PN (9-2) beat 10th ranked Aleman (4-6) in Puerto Varas 73-63 on Sunday. Liceo PN dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Aleman's 28. Liceo PN forced 22 Aleman turnovers and outrebounded them 40-29 including 30 on the defensive glass. The winners were led by Franco Garrido (181-1986) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 19 points and 15 rebounds and Argentinian power forward Cristian Amicucci (200-1985) supported him with 18 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists. Even 24 points and 7 rebounds by Venezuelan center Sergio Mijares (-1997) did not help to save the game for Aleman. Center Marko Castro (192-1988) added 12 points and 10 rebounds. Aleman's coach rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Liceo PN moved-up to second place, which they share with Espanol O. Aleman lost third consecutive game. They keep the tenth position with six games lost. Liceo PN will meet at home bottom-ranked Municipal C. (#16) in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Aleman will play against Osorno (#5) and hope to secure a win.

Espanol O. outrebounded Tomas L. 48-31 including a 37-23 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The winners were led by international Sebastian Suarez (193-1991, college: Portland St.) who scored that evening 22 points and 7 rebounds and Argentinian center Franco Barroso (207-1994) supported him with 12 points and 12 rebounds. Even a double-double of 23 points and 11 rebounds by Argentinian center Leonel Rodriguez (205-1993) did not help to save the game for Tomas L.. Joaquin Contreras (-2003) added 12 points. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Espanol O. have an impressive nine-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 9-2 record behind leader Sportiva Italiana, which they share with Liceo PN.
