Travion Leonard claims Chilean LNB 2 weekly honour

American Travion Leonard (205-C-1993, agency: Interperformances) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Osorno and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents LNB 2 Player of the Week award for round 13.
The 29-year old center had a double-double of 32 points and sixteen rebounds, while his team crushed Aleman (#10, 4-7) with 24-point margin 98-74. Osorno maintains the 5th position in Chilean LNB 2. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Osorno will need more victories to improve their 8-4 record. In the team's last game Leonard had a remarkable 61.1% from 2-point range. He has many years of experience at Osorno, through which he has constantly improved. The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young Argentinian power forward Cristian Amicucci (200-F/C-1985) of second-ranked Liceo PN. Amicucci impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 28 points and 14 rebounds. Of course he led Liceo PN to another comfortable win 85-72 over the lower-ranked Municipal C. (#16, 1-11) being unquestionably team leader. This victory allowed Liceo PN to move up to second position in the standings. His team lost just two games this season, while they won 10 matches. Amicucci is one of the most experienced players at Liceo PN and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 23.0ppg (#2). He also registered 10.7 boards per game.

The third best performed player last round was another Osorno's star - George Holt (185-G-1983). Holt showcased his all-around game by recording 23 points, six rebounds and six assists in the last round. He was another key player of Osorno, helping his team with a 98-74 easy win against the lower-ranked Aleman (#10, 4-7). Osorno needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 8 victories and 4 lost games. Holt has a great season in Chile. After 11 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 5.2rpg (9th best).
