LNB Round 2: Tinguiririca lose to Espanol T.- January 18, 2023
There were only 2 rounds played so far and it's still very beginning of the Regular Season in LNB. Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.
Las Animas - Castro 89-84 Las Animas used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Castro 89-84 on Sunday night. However just five-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Argentinian power forward Cristian Amicucci (200-1985) had a double-double by scoring 22 points and 18 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and the former international Diego Low (190-1997) chipped in 27 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. Argentinian forward Gabriel Hermosillas (202-1993) responded with 17 points and 5 rebounds and Ecuadorian center Bryan Carabali (212-1999) produced a double-double by scoring 12 points, 10 rebounds and 5 blocks. Four Castro players scored in double figures. Castro's coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Las Animas will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Castro will play against Puente Alto and hope to win that game. Valdivia saved a 3-point victory on the road edging Puerto Montt 79-76 on Sunday evening. Guest team only slightly avoided a big embarassment. Valdivia forced 20 Puerto Montt turnovers. Strangely Puerto Montt outrebounded Valdivia 43-29 including a 33-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. Argentinian Juan Rivero (191-1985) orchestrated the victory by scoring 20 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Argentinian forward Nicholas Wadell (201-1989) contributed with 12 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Valdivia's coach Gabriel Schamberger allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. American forward Josh Morris (203-1993, college: UTPB) replied with a double-double by scoring 28 points and 16 rebounds (perfect from the field making all twelve shots !!!) and Argentinian forward Martin Chervo (200-1992) added 30 points and 12 rebounds in the effort for Puerto Montt. Local Puerto Varas outscored Temuco 99-64 on Sunday night. They outrebounded Temuco 38-26 including 28 on the defensive glass. Puerto Varas shot the lights out from three sinking 16 long-distance shots on high 53.3 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by Temuco's players.
