Letcher-Ellis' double-double lands him Hoops Agents Player of the Week award

25-year old forward Marquez Letcher-Ellis (203-F-1997) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Puente Alto and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 8.
He had a double-double of 22 points and 21 rebounds, while his team beat Temuco (#15, 0-7), the league's bottom-ranked team 82-75. Puente Alto is placed at 7th position in Chilean league. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Puente Alto will need more victories to improve their 4-3 record. Letcher-Ellis turned to be Puente Alto's top player in his first season with the team. The University of Nevada graduate has very impressive stats this year. Letcher-Ellis is in league's top in rebounds (2nd best: 12.6rpg) and averages solid 3.0bpg and 56.6% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Justin Satchell (203-C-1995) of Las Animas. He is American-Dominican Rep. center in his first season at Las Animas. In the last game Satchell recorded impressive double-double of 34 points and 11 rebounds. Of course he led Las Animas to another comfortable win 104-85 over the lower-ranked Tinguiririca (#14, 1-6) being unquestionably team leader. The game was between two teams which are definitely not main contenders for the title. Las Animas keeps 9th position. His team lost some distance to top teams. But 4-4 record is not bad and everything may still change. Satchell is a newcomer at Las Animas and quickly became one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 23.5ppg (#4). His other stats are also decent: 7.3rpg and 3.3apg.

Third place about best performers goes to forward Davon Haynes (203-F-1991) of Espanol T. (#10). Haynes showcased his all-around game by recording 27 points, twenty rebounds (!!!) and five assists in the last round. He was a key player of Espanol T., leading his team to a 85-78 win against the higher-ranked Espanol O. (#3, 5-2). The chances of Espanol T. ranking at the top of the league, however are very questionable as they have already lost 4 games, recording just three victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Haynes could help Espanol T. to bring them higher in the standings. Haynes has a great season in Chile. After only 7 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 12.6rpg (#1 in league).
