Chilean LNB round 10 best performance: Marquez Letcher-Ellis (by Hoops Agents)- February 15, 2023
The 25-year old player had a double-double of 30 points and 10 rebounds, while his team beat Puerto Montt (#12, 3-7) 83-68. Puente Alto is placed at 4th position in Chilean LNB. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Puente Alto will need more victories to improve their 6-3 record. In the team's last game Letcher-Ellis had a remarkable 70.0% from 2-point range. He turned to be Puente Alto's top player in his first season with the team. Former The University of Nevada star has very solid stats this year. Letcher-Ellis is in league's top in rebounds (2nd best: 12.0rpg) and averages impressive 3.2bpg and 60.0% FGP. The second best player in last round's games was young American Chris Perry (203-F-1994) of Quilicura. Perry had a very good evening with a double-double of 21 points and 21 rebounds. It was enough for Quilicura to edge slightly lower-ranked Puerto Varas (#8, 5-5) 96-90. This victory allowed Quilicura to move up to 7th position in the standings. His team lost some distance to top teams. But 5-4 record is not bad and everything may still change. Perry is a newcomer at Quilicura, but is already one of team's top players. Third on the list of top players last round was American center Justin Satchell (203-C-1995) of Las Animas (#10). Satchell got into 30-points club by scoring 31 points in the last round. He went also for ten rebounds . Despite Satchell's great performance Las Animas lost 83-105 to the league's current leader Concepcion (#3, 6-0). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. The chances of Las Animas ranking at the top of the league, however are very questionable as they have already lost 5 games, recording just four victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Satchell could help Las Animas to bring them higher in the standings. Satchell has a great season in Chile. After only 5 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 25.0ppg (3rd best). Other top performing players last week: 4. Adriano Barreras (186-G-1989) of Quilicura - 28 points, 4 rebounds and 7 assists 5. Cristian Amicucci (200-F/C-1985) of Las Animas - 27 points, 9 rebounds and 3 assists 6.
