Perry's double-double lands him Player of the Week award- March 30, 2023
He had a double-double of 37 points and 11 rebounds, while his team beat Catolica (#11, 5-12) 102-90. Quilicura is placed at 7th position in Chilean league. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Quilicura will need more victories to improve their 9-7 record. Perry turned to be Quilicura's top player in his first season with the team. Lincoln Memorial University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Perry is in league's top in points (6th best: 20.1ppg) and averages solid 1.4bpg and 60.0% FGP. Second best performed player last round was Roquez Johnson (201-C-1992, agency: BIG) of Valdivia. He is American center in his first season at Valdivia. In the last game Johnson recorded impressive double-double of 25 points and 17 rebounds. Of course he led Valdivia to another comfortable win 88-72 over the lower-ranked Puerto Montt (#13, 4-13) being unquestionably team leader. This victory allowed Valdivia to move up to 5th position in the standings. His team lost some distance to top teams. But 10-7 record is not bad and everything may still change. Johnson is one of the most experienced players at Valdivia and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. Third place about best performers goes to forward Cameron Naylor (202-F-1994) of Puerto Varas (#10). Naylor scored 27 points and grabbed eighteen rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of Puerto Varas, leading his team to a 100-59 easy win against the lower-ranked Temuco (#15, 1-16). The chances of Puerto Varas ranking at the top of the league, however are very questionable as they have already lost 9 games, recording just eight victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Naylor could help Puerto Varas to bring them higher in the standings. Naylor has a very solid season. In 5 games in Chile he scored 16.0ppg.
